Dr. Jane Goodall & The Magic of Hope
It was an amazing honor for us that Dr. Jane Goodall presented our new book on Wednesday 11 May 2016 in the beautiful setting of the City Hall of Antwerpen, our home town. We were welcomed by Vice-Mayor Philip Heylen.
We were delighted to welcome more than 100 guests: friends and family but also Panamarenko (artist), Jean Bosco Safari (singer) and Werner Van Steen (photographer). All three have written a quote for our book. Jelle Cleymans interviewed us for the Radio 2 Program and our regional television station ATV was present. Some articles have been published in Gazet Van Antwerpen, Nieuwsblad and Het Laatste Nieuws.
We would like to thank Jane Goodall Institute Belgium, Ingrid Bezikofer and Hilde Olbrechts for the support and faith in our project and it was a huge pleasure to support Dr. Jane Goodall’s “Roots and Shoots” Program.
We thanked Dr. Goodall for her inspiring words and she touched our hearts by educating us to be stewards of our planet. We sometimes hear people talking about “The Jane Effect” as she has an amazing impact as a scientist, but most importantly she is a warm and inspiring person.
I also added some impressions of the lecture in the University of Antwerpen.
Thank you Doctor Jane Goodall for your faith in our project and your wisdom that we will never forget, reminding us that: “If you really want something, and really work hard and take advantage of opportunities, and never give up, you will find a way.”
